How the math works
Every LLM API bills per token, with separate input and output rates quoted per one million tokens. Your monthly cost is simply input volume times the input rate plus output volume times the output rate. A useful rule of thumb: 4 characters of English text is about one token, so a one-page prompt runs 500–800 tokens.
